Cathy Forehand is fascinated by the sea and readily admits to “loving all things ocean-related.” Much of her stamp art features an ocean theme and Cathy has an amazing eye and talent for capturing the reflective hues of the open waters.
When creating shimmery colors in her stamp art, Cathy frequently turns to Deco Foil Transfer Gel Duo.
Lighthouse includes a strip of cardstock colored in shades of blue, teal and purple ink. A stone pathway stencil was placed on the cardstock and transfer gel was applied. Once the gel was dry, opalescent foil was added with a heat laminator—a beautiful addition to Cathy’s card.

The background of the card Sandpipers was created the same way, although this time a bubble stencil was used. To learn more about this technique, see the Tips & Techniques column in the Summer issue.
